I'd like to get another Ithaca one day to round out my GI pistols, so I periodically check Gunbroker & AuctionArms. I wound up part-trading it to a guy who needed it & got my first Colt in the process. So imagine my surprise when I found out that some serious collectors actually look for those things. It was NICE & if that pistol didn't have those danged markings all over it, I would NEVER have gotten rid of it. I started my 1911a1 collection with a Lend-Lease Ithaca that was in about 95% condition. I agree with the other responses you've gotten.If you can get a good, unmolested & unrefinished Ithaca under $1000, you are doing well. Anything under $1000 would be a fantastic deal, if of course the pistol is everthing you say it is!
