The Charvel is now tuned to standard E tuning. 046 strings and used the 7mm truss rod tool and it was perfect fit and got it back to playable condition We're both in a classic rock/hard rock covers band. UPDATE: So last night I took my Charvel Model 5FX to our practice spot after it had been sitting in the case for quite a while unplayed as it was unplayable and my other guitarist strung it up with D'Addario EXL125's. Do any Charvel Model series owners know which truss rod tool I need?Īlso, my other guitarist in the cover band was taking a look at my Custom Made EBMM Copy and he said it had the weird truss rod end on it so I'm thinking maybe it has the same one as the Charvel? I know the action needs set too on the Custom Made EBMM Copy.
I might need to adjust the neck after string gauge switch but I don't have the special truss rod tool to adjust the neck.
010-.052's but then later on I would up putting Ernie Ball Beefy Slinkys. It was originally setup sometime ago for Drop B with. I was going to either take it up to either half step E or standard E tuning with either. I'm not in the original metal band anymore. So my Charvel has been sitting in it's case for some time now, still in drop B.
